The State Drug Administration first proposed the concept of electronic labels for small-size packaging.
The labeling requirements for small-size packages point out that for products with a net content of no more than 15g or 15mL, only the product name, the name of the registrant or the filing person, the net content, the expiration date and other information should be marked on the visual surface of the sales package. The packaging container that directly contacts the content should also be marked with the product name and expiration date, and other label information that should be marked can be marked in the built-in manual or electronic label.
If the label is in the form of an electronic label, the word “electronic label” should be marked below the image code, and the code can be scanned and identified by conventional devices such as smart phones.

By attaching NFC electronic tags to the outer packaging of cosmetics, it can be ensured that every genuine product entering the market can be traced to the source of production. Once counterfeit and shoddy products appear, terminals with NFC read-write functions can be used to read the contents of the electronic tag. Due to the uniqueness and non-capability of the electronic tag, it can be immediately identified whether the product is a genuine product authorized by the manufacturer.
